    COBOL was designed so that managers could read code.
    FORTRAN is for scientists who think they are programmers.
    ADA comes from a committee – a government committee no less.
    PASCAL is for criminals.
    LOGO is for children.
    APL is for Martians.

  2. Bleh, Perl has nothing on the Bourne shell with its Byzantine quoting and substitution rules.

    Speaking of Perl, I’m going to try to figure out how to represent a doubly-linked list of URLs in a persistent database object (DB_File).
